BBC: RoboLife Documentary
In this BBC World Programme Documentary, RoboLife, the reporter, Mariko Oi investigates the use of robotics with young children and the elderly in Singapore and Japan. She sets off to find out just what these machines are being used for, why we need them, and what they’re really capable of.
The documentary follows Mariko to some of the world’s most high-tech preschools, including those using KIBO robotics, and nursing homes to find out just how advanced the field of robotics is becoming, and whether machines will one day replace humans in the workplace, even in the kinds of roles we might think can only be performed by a human.
