KIBO heads to the big retail show in New York City

As we speak, KIBO is working the floor at retail’s big show. Held by The National Retail Federation, the largest retail federation in the world, the show is the 104th annual ‘Retail’s BIG Show’.

The four-day event is chock-full of innovators and attendees showcasing their work, networking with peers and learning from industry influencers. Our friends at Zebra Technologies are taking KIBO along for the ride.

Zebra Technologies provides tracking and visibility technology that transform the physical to the digital. It recently acquired Symbol Technologies, a supplier of mobile data capture and delivery equipment which is known as a pioneer in handheld laser barcode scanning. If you have a KIBO you’ll know that it uses scanning to take the program from the wooden blocks to communicate it to the robot. Clever, eh?

If you haven’t met KIBO, our developmentally-appropriate robot kit that is designed to teach children aged four to seven the foundations of programming, and you plan to be at Retail’s BIG Show, then head over to Zebra Technologies’ booth at #1603 to say hello – and have a go at writing and scanning in your own program!

If you can’t make it, be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for live updates and we’ll see you at the next event!
